Tin plating is an electrodeposit process that offers excellent solderability, improves corrosion resistance, prevents galling of metal surfaces, and has a low contact-resistance surface. Tin plating is recongized for its softness and ductility during the stamping process. As tin is relatively low in cost, it is quite commonly used.
Matte tin is produced from tin plating baths that do not contain any brightener agents, whereas bright tin baths do have proprietary brightening agencts. |
